What is the advantage of hiring ARRO staff, over hiring someone myself?

ARRO staff will arrive at your home trained. ARRO will have checked your caregiver's background, and spent time with him/her. Additionally, ARRO offers professional supervision of your care provider. ARRO takes care of pay, so parents need not worry about taxes, insurance, or social security deductions. Most importantly, ARRO offers reliability. If a staff member leaves or doesn't work out, another one will be provided with little to no lag time. For children needing consistency, ARRO provides your best bet at offering it.

How are ARRO staff trained?

All ARRO staff will have attended classroom hours prior to placement. Basic training includes an overview of Autism, behavior management, sensory needs, social/emotional needs, and family interactions. Children with complex needs will be placed with staff who have had higher levels of training. A comprehensive overview of the training program is available to all parents upon request.

Will I have any say in who is placed in my home?

ARRO will make initial placements based on the needs of the child and the training and experience of the care provider. Each family will have no less then two providers upon delivery of services. ARRO will take specific requests from families strongly into consideration when making placements.

How do I know ARRO will pick the right person?

Upon signing a contract for services, ARRO will send a representative to your home to do a comprehensive intake. It is important during this interview to be candid about your child's and your family's needs. ARRO staff will have been thoroughly assessed based on their experience, personality strengths, and their location. Upon reviewing the data, ARRO will make the best match possible.

What happens if I do not like my provider?

Every family will have the right to enter into conflict resolution process. If this process is unsuccessful, a new provider will be found for you.

How reliable will my provider be?

All providers will be trained in the importance of showing up on time and being ready to work. Additionally, incentives will be put into place which will reward providers who do not cancel. If given 24 hour notice, ARRO will make every possible effort to supply a trained replacement.

Does ARRO offer ABA programs? Do you offer Floortime/RDI programs?

No. ARRO will work with professionals who write or provide these programs, in order to adequately staff them. ARRO provides staff only, and will not write or assess behavior goals, or provide clinical or therapeutic input for intervention programs.

Does ARRO offer Early Intervention or after school education programs?

ARRO will work with school systems wishing to staff Early Intervention or after school programs. ARRO will not write or review IEP goals.

Can I use ARRO staff every now and again when I need it?

ARRO will require a contracted amount of scheduled hours upon sign up. This will help us have staff ready when needed. Any additional hours requested would be based on staff availability.

How much does ARRO cost?

There is an initial membership cost of $250.00. This includes all of your intake, assessment and placement fees. Once staff begin working with your child, you be will charged an hourly rate based on the needs of your child and the level of training required by the caregiver. Hourly fees begin at $15.00/hr.

Do you have financial assistance programs?

ARRO is currently conducting a pilot program, which does not have additional funding for financial assistance. It is a strategic goal of the Board of Directors to raise funds for financial assistance in the future.
